May 9th, 2022 - The Algorand Foundation is delighted to announce the partnership with the Italian Working Group on Distributed Ledger Technology to support the launch of the International School on Algorand Smart Contracts. The school is organized by leading blockchain experts from the University of Trento, University of Salerno, University of Florence, University of Turin, and Sapienza University of Rome. Under the leadership of University of Cagliari’s Professor Massimo Bartoletti students will learn about the different blockchain technologies and dive into Algorand's use of verifiable random functions, smart contracts and much more. In addition, students will develop their own projects on the Algorand network and actively contribute to the Algorand Developer Portal.
“This four-week school is a tremendous learning opportunity for international PhD students, researchers and practitioners,” underlines Hugo Krawczyk, Principal Researcher at Algorand Foundation. “With hands-on assignments, use cases and project idea pitches this school will provide the participants not only with the necessary background knowledge, but also promotes active learning by working on their own projects.”
Massimo Bartoletti is excited to kick off the first iteration of the International School on Algorand Smart Contracts: “I look forward to teaching the International School on Algorand Smart Contracts together with other leading scientists in the area of blockchain technologies.”
The school will be taught from September 27 to October 18, 2022 and is open to junior researchers and students from across the globe. The school will be taught online in English. Interested applicants can apply here.
